The Council respects and protects the privacy of our website users.
The collection and use of personal information by the Council is regulated by the Privacy Act 1993 (or any successor legislation). The Council will use personal information provided by website users only for the reasons it was given. We collect information when you register in the Fresh Air Challenge, log trips and interact with the website. Website users are required to actively log data into the website and your nick name, workplace and trips logged will be visible to other website users. We do not provide personal information to third parties unless written permission is given by the website user concerned. The Council also monitors the website in order to identify user trends and improve the website if necessary. Any of this information, such as demographics data, will be used in aggregate form and your individual details will not be identified.

Update emails
The email address you provide when you register will be used to send you information and updates pertaining to prizes and tips for the Fresh Air Challenge. In addition, you may receive further updates and information on Let’s Go campaigns and events. You may unsubscribe to update emails at any time.
IP address
An IP address is a number that's automatically assigned to your computer whenever you're surfing the world wide web. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address. We collect IP addresses for the purposes of system administration, to report aggregate information to our internal customers and to audit the use of our site. When visitors request pages from the Council, our servers log the visitors' IP addresses. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that a user's session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us.
